Dennis the Dwarf at the Funfear - Sinclair QL Version
Current version: 1.1
Full Version - FROM ONLY £8
This is a humorous text
adventure, first released for the Sinclair QL home computer by RWAP Adventures in 2016. It was written by Mert (Martin Hopkins)
who was well known for producing witty well written adventures and also
produced the Prawn. It forms the third adventure by Mert featuring Dennis the Dwarf, and although issued for review in 1986, it was feared lost until re-discovered in 2016.
You play
the role of Dennis the Dwarf, who is once again getting up to mischief with his best pal, 'Enry the Elf, who, after they are thrown out of the local pub, decides it would be a good idea to explore a closed amusement park.
Poor 'Enry sees nothing suspicious in the fact that the amusement park springs into life, with all the lights and music blaring as soon as you enter, and thinks a great night of fun is to be had.
Unfortunately, the proprietor has a very different idea of fun and the inhabitants of the amusement park set Dennis a series of tasks whilst putting the two heroes into danger and the perils of the grisly Freak Show.
Can you help out those who live in the Funfear, and find your own way out or will you forever be destined to walk the hall of mirrors and freak show?
Reviews
"Like Mert's earlier game [Horrorday], this looks sensible geographically and the problems are "realistic", even if some of the objects are a little bit silly."

"Some puzzles in the adventure are extremely difficult.... Overall, 'Dennis the Dwarf at the Funfear' is enjoyable."
