Sinclair ZX Spectrum Keyboard Faceplates

Post by RWAP » Thu Mar 12, 2009 8:49 pm

Good news :D

The anticipated delivery date for the ZX Spectrum keyboard faceplates is 8th May 2009

This will be excellent news for anyone with a tired and battered looking faceplate having replaced their keyboard membrane or played Jet Set Willy once too many times!

Well there has been a slight delay in getting these faceplates finalised - not down to the general slowdown in the economy, but problems in the silk screening and powder coating of the plates, which are very thin aluminium.

I should soon have the first batch of 200.

I have a few samples, which have been offered to a select few - pictures are attached

The font is not quite as bold as the original alas - the designers have been unable to match the font and get it to fit in the space allocated so we have had to make one or two compromises.

Faceplates are now available to purchase - £10 each :D (plus postage)

We have sourced some strong double sided adhesive tape which we will fit to the faceplates prior to supply - you merely need to peel off the backing tape and then stick them down onto your Spectrum case.

The tape takes about 24 hours to set hard.
